So nice to meet you, we are Going The Distance Community Outreach and we are here to serve you!

MISSION:

Our mission is to provide uplifting, supportive, and empowering classes, programs, and services to our community that promotes wellness and foster success for all ages, stages and walks of life.

 

VISION:

Our vision is to be love in action; a supportive and inclusive community pillar, where we provide resources for our communities to learn, find and receive what they need in order to thrive and be successful.

WHAT WE DO:

We are a non profit organization that strives to provide educational, social and well-being services and programs which help students, individuals and families be set up for success and prepare for the various stages of life.  

The pandemic gave us all a rude awakening and we decided to help in any way that we could, whether it be providing the following:

  • Advocacy and Action for our Active Duty Military (all branches and levels), Military Vets, and Military Families
  • Advocacy and Action for our youth and their families
  • Advocacy and Action to prevent and/or reduce community gun violence
  • Career Coaching
  • Community Clean Up
  • Community Gardening 
  • Continuing Education/ Professional Development Classes
  • Food Boxes & Pantry (Events Coming Soon)
  • GED Tutoring & Prep Classes
  • Mental Health Services
  • Parent & Family Classes
  • Post Secondary Transition Support & Career Coaching
  • Social Emotional Learning Classes & Presentations

While we would love to be able to offer services in every area that there is a need for, we cannot. HOWEVER, this is where our AMAZING community partners and partnerships come in.

We act as as a connector/intercessor as we partner with community organizations that serve our surrounding communities' parents, families, schools, businesses to ensure that the needs of our communities are being met and that everyone has access to resources that will better their lives.

Going The Distance Community Outreach is committed to providing you with collaborative community support via education, products and services that are necessary, uplifting and empowering.
